Post COVID-19 pandemic, we had frequent opportunities to engage with government school teachers and students. These interactions offered valuable insight into the persistent challenges they face—most notably, the lack of access to safe drinking water and poor toilet hygiene.

In response, a thought-provoking tweet by Dr. Ananda Kumar inspired us to launch the 'Nalamudan Namadhu Palli' (நலமுடன் நமது பள்ளி) initiative under the Kalvi Maram Foundation. This initiative is focused on:
- Installing and maintaining RO water purifiers
- Supplying monthly toilet cleaning essentials
- Conducting hygiene education sessions for students
The situation demands urgent attention and action. Safe drinking water and clean, functional toilets are not luxuries—they are the foundation of a safe and dignified learning environment. Through community participation and collaborative efforts with the government, we can ensure health, dignity, and equity for every child in our government schools.
